One of the UK’s fastest-growing trade printers, Route One Print, has become the fourth UK business in two years to invest in a Fujifilm Jet Press 720S.
Forming part of the Bluetree Group, Route One Print is a Virgin Fast track 100 company that operates from a 9,000m2 production facility near Rotherham and employs 260 people. Offering digital, lithographic and wide format print products, it is investing in Fujifilm’s Jet Press 720S to produce ultra-high quality business cards, produced with a personal flourish.

Roissy Copy, based in Île-de-France, has further expanded its production capacity and printing formats with an investment in two Fujifilm UV inkjet platforms, the Acuity LED 3200R and the Acuity Select X2.
Originally started as a reprographic printer in 1990, a stone’s throw from Charles de Gaulle airport, Roissy Copy took its first step towards large format printing in 2008. At the time, managing director Patrick Boudaud invested in a Fujifilm Acuity flatbed in order to tap into new markets, which the company has been successfully serving ever since.

One of Europe’s biggest direct mail printers steps up production still further after investment in Fujifilm’s XMF Workflow solution
Founded more than 25 years ago, UK printer Howard Hunt is now one of Europe’s most prolific producers of direct mail, door drop leaflets and advertising inserts, with some of the UK’s biggest retailers and well known blue chip corporations among its many clients. With millions of records produced every month across a range of sheet fed, web and digital presses, maintaining an efficient, integrated workflow solution is vital. Eight months ago the business made the decision to invest in Fujifilm’s XMF Workflow solution, which included XMF Remote, XMF Workflow and key elements of XMF ColorPath.

Just five months on from installing an Inca Digital Onset X2 from Fujifilm, Swedish printer Billes Tryckeri AB has seen a 30 per cent increase in wide format production output. With an offset printing heritage dating back more than 50 years and ten years of more recent digital print production experience, the company employs 125 people and turns over 250 million krona a year (nearly €26 million). Digital printing now makes up around 40 per cent of the company’s output and, in line with trends in the wider industry, this proportion is growing.

At FESPA 2017, Fujifilm will use its stand in Hall B4 (Stand B4L-E35) to showcase a technology preview of a unique new modular flatbed production system using “Fujifilm Inkjet Technology”. Rather than showcase the company’s existing flatbed and roll-fed production systems, which are all available for demo at multiple locations around Europe, Fujifilm is giving a glimpse of the future by showing an exciting, brand new, B1 format platform that will spark the interest of print service providers in a number of markets.

Fujifilm today announces management changes in its UK Graphic Systems business. Former Graphic Systems UK Director Keith Dalton has been appointed to the role of Head of Service in the company’s European Graphic Systems business. In this new role, Dalton, who has served as Director of the UK Graphic Systems business since 2003, takes up the responsibility for managing the service and application support for the Graphics business across the EMEA region, and begins his new role effective immediately.

Straub Druck & Medien AG secures high-end print work for Porsche as it builds growth strategy around its two Fujifilm Jet Press 720S presses
German print house Straub Druck & Medien AG, based in Schramberg in the Black Forest, has seen a dramatic rise in new sales and throughput in the months since it installed its second Fujifilm Jet Press 720S in the summer of 2016, with work secured for luxury car manufacturer Porsche being a notable highlight.
