Bristol, 4 June 2017 – Spandex, the one-stop supplier of innovative solutions to the sign, graphics and display industries, has supplied 3M Print Wrap Film IJ180mC to signage and printing company Slam Signs for its latest vehicle wrapping project on behalf of the Cats Protection charity.
Based in St Albans, Hertfordshire, Slam Signs was established in 2007. The company specialises in vehicle graphics, large format printing, window graphics, banners, POS signage, shop signage and merchandise. Having worked with Spandex since 2015, Dave Jorge and Jodie Banfather, owners of Slam Signs, were confident that they would be able to provide the support and indeed the most suitable product to confidently fulfil the new project brief.
Since June 2016, Slam Signs has successfully wrapped 45 vans on behalf of the Cats Protection charity, with a further six of these vehicles in the pipeline. David is confident the customer will continue to be pleased with the outcome: “While the price point is slightly higher, it is worth every penny and gives us the peace of mind that the customer will be happy with the end result and importantly, that the wrap will continue to look good for years to come.”
David continues: “We spoke to Spandex and explained that we needed a wrap film that would deliver a superior aesthetic look with a great finish. Based on our discussion we were confident that the new 3M IJ180mC film would meet these needs.
“Spandex recommended the new film, which was just right for the job and even arranged for swift next day delivery, which was a real bonus. Based on our conversation, we opted for the white, 54” material and really couldn’t be happier with the results – not only does it offer excellent printability but boasts an outstanding look and feel once on the vehicle, without any trace of seams. From an installation perspective, the material delivers a smooth, bubble-free finish that is much glossier than alternative products we’ve used in the past.
“Aesthetically speaking, the 3M IJ180mC material delivers a professional, high-gloss finish and looks so impressive once installed.”
The new 3M Print Wrap Film Series IJ180mC features 3M Comply adhesive with micro technology. Available in gloss white, transparent and aluminium metallic options, these wrap films combine advanced slideability and initial tack, allowing installers to move the film effortlessly across any application surface and expertly reposition the product to the perfect location after first contact, helping to accelerate installation. As a result, these advanced features provide solutions for demanding applications, such as wrap applications for vehicles and walls, offering an outstanding bubble-free finish.
“Long term, we’ve been so impressed by the outcome that we have decided to keep using the 3M IJ180mC as our preferred wrapping film from now on. In fact, we’ve just ordered the metallic option from Spandex too for another job and we’ve had similarly outstanding results,” David concludes.
