BRISTOL, UK – 18 April 2017 – Expanding its graphic solutions capabilities even further, Spandex the one-stop supplier of innovative solutions to the sign, graphics and display industries, is pleased to offer Arlon’s newly launched SLX™ Cast Wrap with FLITE Technology™.
Suitable for use by wrappers of varying levels of experience, the film can be easily handled by a single installer, removing the need for two people and offers a fast vehicle and fleet wrapping option which protects and prolongs the life of printed images.
SLX Cast Wrap is a premium, gloss white repositionable cast film with FLITE Technology - a lite contact system allowing graphics to float over a surface until firm pressure is applied. Designed for the single installer, the film allows for a fast wrap and superior repositionability for full and partial, vehicle and fleet applications. The film guarantees fast installation while ensuring long-term bond and clean removability, conforming effortlessly around rivets, complex curves and deep channels.
Featuring a tinted, permanent pressure-sensitive adhesive providing excellent opacity, SLX Cast Wrap incorporates a low-profile, air egress liner that aids installation, resulting in a smooth finish which makes it ideal for use in vehicle and fleet wrapping applications.
In order to ensure optimum performance of the film, Spandex recommends the use of Arlon’s Series 3270 new cast overlaminate, due to its in-built UV inhibitors which protect and prolong the life of printed images, extending the overall lifespan of the graphics by two years.
Providing fast, easy application for both novice and experienced installers, SLX Cast Wrap delivers vibrant and reliable print quality and features easy liner release, helping to maintain the integrity of the graphic.
Leon Watson, Spandex UK General Manager comments: “We’re delighted to add this premium product to the portfolio we can offer wrappers. Due to the ease with which it can be handled, the new film makes inexperienced wrappers look experienced, and allows skilled wrappers to work incredibly quickly. The new FLITE technology means that just a single installer is needed, which will really help to speed up the whole application process. What’s more, the overall quality of wrapping installations can be dramatically improved due to the way in which the film behaves, generating very little static once the liner is removed, inhibiting dust pick-up. Overall, the new product meets market demands for a robust wrapping film that can be used even in challenging situations.”
