In the same year that Domino Printing Sciences celebrates its 40th anniversary, members of its Digital Printing Solutions division are also celebrating special milestones with the business.

Last week (17 and 18 October) MPS welcomed guests to the Domino & MPS Hybrid Open Houses hosted at the MPS Technology & Expertise Centre in Arnhem. Each day, there was a packed house with visitors attending from Belgium, France, Germany, Latvia, the Netherlands, Russia, Spain and the United Kingdom – all of whom came to witness first-hand the capabilities of the MPS EF SYMJET with its integrated Domino N610i digital ink jet engine.

Domino Digital Printing Solutions will be demonstrating two of its ink jet printing solutions on Stand G 152 in Hall 6 at ALL4PACK 2018, taking place at Paris-Nord Villepinte from 26th – 29th November. Its market leading N610i seven colour digital label press will be on display, along with a K600i ink jet printer which will be demonstrating a security printing label application.

Domino Printing Services is set to expand its presence in Brazil by extending its long-lasting partnership with distributor Sunnyvale, to now incorporate Domino’s full range of digital printing equipment including its flagship N610i digital colour ink jet label press.

Domino Digital Printing North America will be bringing a flavour of its ‘Digital Printing Spectrum’ open house concept to their booth 6523 during Labelexpo Americas (25th – 27th September 2018, Chicago). They will host an insightful and exciting programme, with something new and different each day of the show, with live on-stage guest presentations from some of the most respected and influential industry experts.

Celebrating four decades of manufacturing printing and coding solutions, Domino Printing Sciences has hosted a special event at its UK HQ in Cambridge at which staff were thanked and awarded for their contribution to the company’s development over the years.

Domino Printing Sciences is marking its 40th anniversary with the opening of its new fluids manufacturing facility in Liverpool, UK. Through the company’s investment in advanced industry production processes, the 175,000sq ft (16,000sq m) site will provide Domino with a significant increase in productivity and capacity and a reduction in lead times. The expansion has created 19 new jobs, bringing the total workforce of the factory to 88 over the next 9 months.

In the same year that Domino Printing Sciences celebrates its 40th anniversary, several members of their Digital Printing Solutions (DPS) division are also celebrating special milestones with the business.

Domino Printing Sciences is pleased to announce the appointment of Lutz Doehnert as the company’s Group Research & Development Director. In his new position, Lutz will lead the Global Research and Development team while continuing to build on Domino’s innovative technology, software and coding solutions.

Ian Woodhead, managing director of Sudbury based ‘one stop label shop’ Anglia Labels, is delighted with his latest investment in a 5 colour Domino N610i ink jet label press. The Domino press was installed in February 2018 and Ian reveals, “Within just one month of installation, we had improved our lead times and quality, and reduced our running costs, and we were already printing 25% of our turnover on the Domino press.”

US-based, award-winning service provider, Express Packaging has over 30 years’ experience providing tailored primary and secondary packaging solutions for a wide variety of global brands – such as Nestlé, Kraft and Hershey’s. Specialising in applications that include pouching, cartoning, shrink-wrapping and label printing, Express Packaging must process track and trace codes at an extremely high speed and volume. To meet these demands, the company has invested in Domino’s latest continuous ink jet (CIJ) printer, the Ax350i.
