Signbox wins FESPA Award for work at Hachette UK

UK-based signage pioneer, Signbox, has won a FESPA Award in the Decals and Printed Labels category for its work at book publisher Hachette UK.

Recognised during the FESPA Awards Gala Dinner onWednesday May 10th at the Grand Elysee Hotel in Hamburg, Signbox’s Hachette project impressed the judges amidst a strong field. “This is a great example of the best of both worlds,” one judge commented. “Print and contour cut to ease production and application, with the appearance of vinyl cut lettering.”

Following its successful interior and exterior signage refit of west London office building Vantage London, announced in late 2016, Signbox headed west along the M4 and has delivered again, this time for The Mille. This now newly refurbished landmark building offers stylish, contemporary offices for modern businesses. Landmark West London office block, Vantage London, catches the eye of commuters with high impact exterior signage from Signbox

Towering above the elevated section of the M4 in Chiswick, Vantage London is a building seen by tens of thousands of motorists every day as they make their way between Heathrow airport and Central London. Offering the largest office space in West London, the building occupies a prominent location facing Kew Gardens and sits a mere five minute walk from Chiswick Park tube station. The building has undergone a major refurbishment over this year, and key to re-launching this landmark building was a range of exterior signage that would powerfully reflect the outstandingly modern and vibrant interior.

Signbox & the Graphic History Company deliver stunning Thames mural made up of 3,500 iconic author names for book publisher Hachette UK

Carmelite House which sits on the north bank of the River Thames, with stunning views across the river and over London, has been home for just over a year to the book publishing group Hachette UK. The mural, which was commissioned earlier this year and unveiled this week comprises the names of 3,500 authors published by Hachette UK and will grow each year as the names of authors new to the publishing group are added.

Signbox delivers architectural sensitivity and modern functionality in British Academy signage project

Architectural signage specialist, Signbox, has just completed a major wayfinding and display signage project at 10-11 Carlton House Terrace in Central London. Carlton House Terrace is home to the British Academy – the UK’s national body for the humanities and social sciences – and one of London’s most impressive and imposing Georgian buildings. Famous past occupants include the Victorian-era Prime Minister William Gladstone, and the building’s stunning interior and exterior period features have seen it used frequently in more recent years for television dramas and films.

Signbox given the ‘blue light’ for London Fire Brigade’s station rebuild

Visual communications specialist Signbox has completed an architectural signage project for the London Fire Brigade as part of a private finance initiative (PFI) rolled out across the capital to provide a more flexible, efficient and effective fire and rescue service for London. Nine stations in total have been rebuilt, including Mitcham, OId Kent Road, Orpington and Plaistow, Dagenham, Dockhead, Leyton, Purley and Shadwell.

Signbox boosts production capacity with Durst upgrade

Signbox wins awards and accolades at BSGA Sign Awards

Visual communications specialist Signbox has won the ‘Illuminated Sign of the Year Award’ at this year’s BSGA Awards, which took place on Tuesday 13th October at the state of the art East Midlands Conference Centre in Nottingham. The award was for Signbox’s comprehensive signage project at UBM’s new headquarters in Central London. Meanwhile the company’s work for Paternoster House was highly commended in the ‘Interior Signage of the Year’ category.

Signbox sets the scene for opening chapter of Springer Nature journey

A strong sense of tradition for Wellington Mills urban wayfinding scheme

Signbox has just completed a small but complex wayfinding project at the popular Wellington Mills housing co-operative in London, SE1. Originally the mill site of John Oakey & Sons Ltd, a manufacturer of abrasives and sandpaper; the estate has an extensive history and records show that in the 1700’s a female orphanage stood on the site.
