Membership spans Europe, the United States and Australia. Our common goal is to promote the responsible production and use of print and paper, and dispel common environmental misconceptions by providing users with verifiable information on why print and paper is an attractive, practical and sustainable communications medium.

Interim campaign results demonstrate effectiveness of challenging misleading ‘paper-free is better for the environment’ claims

Two Sides, the global initiative to promote the sustainability of print and paper, has today announced an 88% success in its latest campaign to tackle the use of greenwash among UK corporations. Since May this year, Two Sides has identified and challenged 25 well known organisations for making inaccurate and misleading environmental statements to their customers to encourage them to go paperless. To date, 22 of those companies approached by Two Sides have agreed to remove their offending claims.

A survey of UK consumers undertaken by Two Sides, May 2015

A new survey into the preferences of consumers for printed versus digital communications has been published today by ‘Two Sides’; the global initiative which addresses the misconceptions of paper use as a communications medium. The survey, which was commissioned by Two Sides and undertaken by international research company Toluna, sought the opinions and preferences of 500 consumers in the UK and 1,000 in the US on a number of issues relating to the switch from paper-based to digital media.

The Welsh Conservative party responds to an open Letter from Two Sides challenging their policy consultation to tackle unwanted so-called “junk mail”, which they claim is harmful to the environment.
