Dispelling the myth for print producers that automation is complex and expensive, Canon needed a video that explained its proposition in a simple, light-hearted and creative way.
We wanted to create something different to the usual blue hue style images usually associated with data and artificial intelligence, that was both in-keeping with Canon’s existing campaign visuals, and that made the prospect of automation achievable, even for the smallest of print businesses.
Animation was the way forward.
We scripted, storyboarded and animated a 2-minute video with a narrative brought to life through dynamic typography and shapes that were characterised to depict Canon and its customers.
The animation has been localised into five languages and is used by Canon sales and marketing representatives across EMEA in conversations around the accessibility of automation in print production.
