Siemens will showcase its intelligent asset management solutions at Highways UK 2026, taking place from 14-15 October at the NEC Birmingham. A Formula 1 car will take centre stage on the stand, bringing to life Siemens’ approach to asset management and highlighting that: winning decisions start with data.
In Formula 1, the car doesn’t win the race. The team behind it analyses thousands of performance signals to understand where to focus, where to invest resources and what actions will deliver the biggest performance advantage. At Highways UK, visitors to Stand F29 will get to see how Siemens is bringing that same data-driven approach to highways, utilising data from partners which make it possible for local authorities and highways managers to move from reactive maintenance to proactive management with its digital solutions, including Confirm and Predictor.
UK councils continue to face growing pressure on their budgets, ageing infrastructure and increasing demands for transparency from their local communities, which is why digital, data-led asset management solutions are becoming increasingly crucial. With limited budgets and competing priorities, success depends on accessing accurate, real-time and connected asset data that allow teams to focus effort where it will deliver the greatest impact. Siemens and its partners, are helping local authorities and highways managers to address these challenges by providing a connected approach to manage their assets.
In a timely response to the announcement that every English Council will be eligible to receive £37,000 to digitalise their Traffic Regulation Orders, AppyWay, who were recently announced as a Siemens partner, will be available on the stand to discuss how councils can meet this requirement.
Digital solutions
Confirm is Siemens’ asset management solution (formerly Brightly Software) for smart asset and highways management. The platform supports real-time data access, live inspections and reporting, management, contractor oversight, lifecycle planning and regulatory compliance. Providing a central source of truth that holds details of all local authorities’ assets, the Confirm platform gives councils and highways managers a clearer view of their assets, operations and performance. This helps teams to identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency, resulting in smarter decisions, more informed conversations, better planning and increased budget transparency.
Predictor is Siemens’ asset investment planning solution, which allows councils and highways managers to model long-term funding and maintenance scenarios. It combines historical asset condition data, risk-based analyses and future investment modelling to help authorities spend their limited budgets more effectively while maintaining service levels. Predictor makes it easier for organisations to work out where best to spend their budgets and therefore make informed decisions based on real-time data for forecasting and future investment.
Zinier, a new partner of Siemens, will also join Siemens on Stand F29. The company provides a cloud-based field service management software platform powered by AI and no-code tools. It helps companies schedule workers, automate routine tasks and manage field operations more efficiently.
Tom Oates, Director of Strategic Partnerships at Zinier, comments: “We’re delighted to join Siemens at Highways UK this year. Highways teams can’t afford to send the wrong crew – or the right crew without the right kit. Zinier’s Field Service Management solution ensures the right people, materials and equipment arrive at the right place at the right time, every time. With AI-driven scheduling feeding live field data straight into Confirm, highways operators get a single, accurate picture of their roads, so they can fix faster, plan smarter and keep traffic moving.”
Chris Thompson, EMEA Head of Government Sales for Asset Management Software, Siemens, comments: “As councils and highways managers strive to balance budget pressures with the need to deliver safe and reliable services, access to accurate data and intelligent asset management has never been more important. Just as in Formula 1, the difference isn’t speed alone; it’s confidence in the data behind every decision. Data doesn’t just drive decisions, it drives continuous improvement, helping teams refine repeatable processes and maximise performance. That’s why, at Siemens, we are committed to helping our customers to unify their asset data, which in turn, will help them to maximise their budgets, improve their operational efficiency and make informed decisions. We look forward to demonstrating at Highways UK how our solutions support highways management.”
Visitors to Highways UK can see the F1 car and meet the Siemens, Zinier and AppyWay teams on stand F29. While there, they will to discover how Confirm and Predictor can transform asset data into actionable insights, helping councils make smarter decisions faster and with greater confidence.
