In the fast-paced world of marketing and communication, staying ahead of the curve is essential. That’s why we’re excited to announce our latest endeavour: launching our very own AD TikTok account!

I’ve no doubt that by now, TikTok is a platform that you will have heard of. Typically associated with being a ‘Gen Z’ platform, and being part of this demographic myself, I’d be confident in assuming most of the younger generation who are active on social media have the app.

I’ve personally been using TikTok since lockdown 2021 – I often find myself cycling through my socials and spending probably the most time on TikTok, where the algorithm somehow manages to keep me pinned to the platform. There was a time where I would post content on TikTok – from sneaker unboxings to daily vlogs. In fact, I even had a video that got more than a million views! Now, I mainly use it to search for recipes, quick DIY fixes or the best restaurants in the city.

With its growing popularity, people of all ages are in fact becoming more familiar and active on Tik Tok. For many, it’s solely for entertainment and viewing purposes; for some it’s a chance to make entertaining videos and go viral over the latest trending ‘challenge’; for others it’s a platform to quickly find solutions or advice relating to topics ranging from home content and recipes to business tips and career advice.

TikTok has over 1 billion active users, and many of them are within the prime age range of decision-makers in B2B organisations. This platform has proven to be an effective tool for building brand awareness and reaching new audiences. By using TikTok for B2B marketing and communications, businesses can adopt a more personable approach and showcase their brand in a relaxed and informal manner. This can help businesses to build trust and connect with their audience on a more personal level.
