Issues-led conference programme and keynote speakers set to inspire at the PPMA Show 201

The PPMA Show 2018, which takes place at the NEC in Birmingham from 25 to 27 September, has unveiled a first-class industry-responsive conference programme that looks set to create a forum for education, knowledge share and debate. The free to attend conference sessions will run over the first two days of the show in the Enterprise Zone, with a programme devised to focus on some of the key issues facing modern manufacturing. These include topical issues such as Brexit, Industry 4.0, cyber security, robotics, automation and optimisation, augmented reality, as well as tackling the ongoing debate surrounding the impact of lastics in packaging.

Major book printer CPI Group becomes the latest UK printer to invest in the Jet Press 720S

With seventeen factories across Europe, seven of them in the UK, CPI has its UK book cover printing in a single site in Croydon, south London and invested in a Jet Press 720S to ensure that its short-run book jackets, covers and illustrated sections are produced with the maximum quality and reliability. CPI’s Jet Press 720S was installed in July 2018.

Domino Printing Sciences opens new state-of-the-art Fluids Manufacturing Facility

Domino Printing Sciences is marking its 40th anniversary with the opening of its new fluids manufacturing facility in Liverpool, UK. Through the company’s investment in advanced industry production processes, the 175,000sq ft (16,000sq m) site will provide Domino with a significant increase in productivity and capacity and a reduction in lead times. The expansion has created 19 new jobs, bringing the total workforce of the factory to 88 over the next 9 months.
