Domino Printing Sciences, a global leader in the development and manufacturing of coding and marking technology, is celebrating after being awarded the ‘Operational Excellence’ accolade at the much-revered annual Manufacturer MX Awards – the largest annual awards programme in the UK manufacturing calendar. This is the second year in a row that Domino has won an award at the event, after earning the ‘Supply Chain Excellence’ honour in 2017.

FloriColor, based in Porto, has become the first Portuguese printer to invest in Fujifilm’s flagship Jet Press B2 inkjet press, and one of the first printers anywhere in Europe to invest in the brand new, third generation Jet Press 750S. The press will be installed in January 2019.

Fujifilm today announces its third generation B2 inkjet press, the Jet Press 750S. With higher productivity of 3,600 B2 sheets per hour, and a range of other changes which further improve the already impressive up-time, versatility, colour capability and quality, the Jet Press 750S is now the fastest, full colour, B2 sheet-fed digital press on the market.

As the print market continues its steady trend towards digital, the need to be able to accurately print spot and brand colours on digital presses is becoming ever-more important. Traditionally in offset printing, additional spot colours are used to complement CMYK ink sets in order to more accurately print clearly defined brand colours, something that is not always practical, or even possible, with digital presses.
