After a successful UK trial in 2018, Fujifilm’s innovative PLATESENSE programme is now available throughout Europe

A long-time Fujifilm plates customer, HECHT has now secured its first Fujifilm inkjet investment with its purchase of an Acuity Ultra. The machine will be installed in June 2019.

At the prestigious EDP (European Digital Press) Association awards in Munich on Wednesday 15th May, Fujifilm’s Jet Press 750S was selected ahead of other competitors to be named digital press of the year in the “cut sheet colour B2(+)” category.

At FESPA Global Print Expo 2019 (Munich, May 14th-17th), Fujifilm will use its stand (G15 in Hall A5) to showcase recent developments to the Acuity Ultra, a superwide format printer targeted at the high-end indoor graphics and outdoor signage markets.

GlavPrint, a Moscow-based company and long-standing Fujifilm customer, has a deserved reputation in its home market for reliability and quality in the creative production of advertising and display materials. For more than five years, the company has centred its production around a Fujifilm Uvistar superwide format printer, which has operated reliably and efficiently over all that time at near 24/7 levels. When recent business growth prompted the company’s management team to explore their options for a new printer to run alongside the Uvistar, this positive experience with Fujifilm encouraged them to look closely at Fujifilm’s newest and most technologically advanced superwide format solution – the Acuity Ultra.

Commenting on the ruling handed down by the Regional Court in Düsseldorf, Germany, Rob Fassam, R&D Director at FSIS said: “This sends a clear message to anyone thinking of infringing our intellectual property. We will continue to protect our investment by filing patents that cover our technology and we will take appropriate action against those who infringe.

Fujifilm’s Jet Press 750S has been recognised for its innovative design, collecting both the 2019 Red Dot and iF Design awards. The awards are two of the world’s three most prestigious design awards, alongside the American International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA), recognised internationally as a sought-after seal of approval for quality design.

Fujifilm Graphic Systems (Europe) today announces that its respected XMF Workflow portfolio has become fully integrated with Tharstern MIS (Management Information System) and EFI Pace MIS. These integrations enable a more streamlined print production process and will offer print providers enhanced productivity and lower costs.

On 9th and 10th April 2019, Fujifilm is welcoming printers from across Europe to its Advanced Print Technology Centre in Brussels to see the new Jet Press 750S in action - the first opportunity to do so since its launch. Fujifilm today announces the launch of the new Acuity LED 40 series of flatbed printers. Building on the success of the Acuity Select 20, and on Fujifilm’s expertise in LED curing that dates back to the launch of the Acuity LED 1600 seven years ago, it marks the first time that LED-curing printers have been made available within the Acuity flatbed range.
